Inspirations

So lately two blogs have really been inspiring me: All The Good Things and Via Margutta 51
Follow if you haven't yet, you won't  regret it!

I've been trying to come up with some ways to make the blog a bit more...colorful. With entertaining posts, and totally awesome polls! Hopefully you will see a bit more activity around here, HELP ME BRING SOME LIFE INTO IT!!!! Suggestions and requests are welcome, just email me at ALD1296@gmail.com

And now for a very famous Hollywood actress

Bette Davis: Considered one of the GREATEST actresses of all time, and I'm sure all of you have seen at least one movie with her, right?

Which is your favorite movie?

My personal favorite is June Bride which is one of the very few comedies she made. It was just incredibly good!

She was born April 5, 1908 and died on October 6, 1989, and according to one website made 121 movies. She was extremely talented and won the best actress Oscar twice.

There was also the constant battle between Joan Crawford and Bette, which resulted in several cutting quotes by Bette including this one:
[commenting on the death of long-time nemesis Joan Crawford] "You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good . . . Joan Crawford is dead. Good."

Yeahhhh ouch huh? So despite the fact that they are all smiles in this picture, I can't help but notice they are very much forced.

Have a great day everyone!

The Saturday Evening Post and the Poll

First of all, if you are a fan of ClassicsForever please go and like the facebook page, where you'll get updates on what's new and if any changes are made to it. Thanks!  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Classic-movie-blog-ClassicsForever/102432233176157?sk=wall

Soo I'm sure most of you have heard of the Saturday Evening Post, unfortunately I have never managed to get my hands on one and actually read what it has inside, so let's just say I became a fan by the artwork.
Another reason I like it so much is because I am a very big fan of Norman Rockwell, and he did many of the SEP cover!

So lately I have been collecting SEP stuff, not magazines though I hope to buy one someday, but actual things with covers of the SEP on them. I have now collected a SEP calendar, letter box, bath gels, and soap bars. Here is a picture of my collection so far:

Anyways, now about the new poll, can't think of anything! Help?

RIP Ginger...

So first of all it has been 16 years since Ginger Rogers passed away. July 16, 1911 – April 25, 1995.

I know I don't usually post things about people's deaths, but this one is very important because Ginger is my favorite actress. So I'm working on a video and decided to upload some pictures I have collected, from various websites and some wonderful people who have shared.

It is also her centennial year, she was an amazing actress and will always be my favorite. I was able to watch all her movies and she had incredible talent and always did the roles she played flawlessly.

RIP Ginger!
